Urban)rnrn(C) xiii + 91 page; 30 table; 7 picture; 22 attachment.rnrn(D) Keyword : gotu kola herb, nano calcium carbonate, effervescent tablet.rnrn(E) Gotu cola extract (centella asiatica (L.) Urban) can be used to improve concentration and memory because it contains assiaticoside. Goto cola extract had been formulated with freeze drying process, and then mixed with variant concentration of calcium carbonate alcaly 18%, 20% and 22%. Miling process in this research using variation of time e.g. 20 hours, 24 hours, and 28 hours. The aim of this process was to get particle size of calcium carbonate into nanometer. It was then formulated to effervescent granul using wet granulation method and later being pressed into effervescent tablet. Evaluation of these tablet involve hardness, friability, weight uniformity and disolution time test. Result of Unbalance Complete Random Block design analysis statistically shows of disolution and other fisical tablet paramaters, where as result of research show that disolution time of Formula IX meet requirement with disolution time 8 minutes 12 seconds. Tablet parameters which had met the requirment were found at 1st formula with 5,75 kg/cm2 of hardness, 19,67% of friability and 3,0370 g of weight uniformityrnrn(F) Reference list : 27 pieces (1979-2009)rnrn(G) Drs.
