Chlorella has been developed as a source of energy, food supplements, antioxidants, and has a potential as an antibacterial. This study intended to obtain a natural antibacterial compounds and also know the type and amount of fatty acid content that contained from Chlorella pyrenoidosa. Dry biomass of Chlorella pyrenoidosa was soxhleted using hexane as a solvent. Fatty acid of extract had been identified by using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, and then the extract was tested antibacterial activity of E.coli and S.aureus by paper disc method.
