ABSTRACTrn(A) ROSA LAILA SARI MURTI (2007210188)rn(B) EVALUATION OF THE USE OF SEFTRIAKSON ON THE PATIENT HOSPITALIZATION IN BHINEKA BAKTI HUSADA HOSPITAL PERIOD JULY-OCTOBER 2011rn(C) xii + 92 pages; 2012 ; 1 tables; 8 images; 10 attachmentsrn(D) Keyword : Ceftriaxone, inpatient, accuracy, Bhineka Bakti Husada HospitalrnCeftriaxone is the third generation of sefalosporin antibiotics broad spectrum and is active against gram-negative and positive. Ceftriaxone given inappropriately can cause resistance and incidence of adverse effects. This research aimed to evaluate the appropriateness of use, combination and interaction to improve therapy. Research done on concurrent with analyzing data record and the status of the patient as a medic descriptive, with inclusion criteria all patients hospitalization that gets ceftriaxone in the premier class inpatient, I, II, and III. Data organized and analyzed based on Literature standards of Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment 2005 and Drug Information 2010. The results showed there were 236 inclusions patients are evaluated consist of 164 adults patients and 72 children patients. Based on diagnosis 7 patients (3%) is appropriate and 229 patients (97%) is not appropriate. Based on product ceftriaxone, 151 patients (63,98%) use of generic products and 85 patients (36,02%) using the non-generic. Based on a dose, 21,43% children patients appropriate and 78,57% inappropriately while in adult patients 154 patients (93.9%) appropriate and 10 patients (6.1%) is not appropriate from the literature Drug Information. Based on the shape of the ceftriaxone given that specimens of reconstituting injection with delivery route intravenous. Based on long therapy, ceftriaxone has not been given proper with a range of 2-14 days. Based on a combination, 55 patients (23,31%) given combination with other antibiotics. Based on interaction, there were 21 cases of interactions with other medications and antibiotics. Conclusion in the use of ceftriaxone in bhineka bakti husada hospital not appropriate diagnosis , doses , and long therapy based on the standard literature current medical diagnosis and treatment and drug information.rn(E) Reference : 27 items (1995-2011)rn(F) Drs.
