Formulasi Masker Gel Feel-off Ekstrak Bunga Kembang Sepatu (Hibiscus rosa sinensis L.) Dengan HPC-m Dan Polivinil Alkohol Sebagai Pembentuk Gel

The purpose of this research is to make preparations of peel-off mask gel that meet the requirement of chemical and physical quality. Hibiscus flower was extracted with 70% ethanol and obtainable a viscous extract of hibiscus flower. The extracts tested with its antioxidant activity (DPPH), then the extracts are formulated in peel-off mask gel preparation with HPC-m and PVA as a gelling agent. Preparation of gel mask is evaluated in temperature 250C-300C and stability test in temperature 250C-300C and in temperature 400C for 3 months. Evaluation and stability test of the preparation of hisbicus flower extract encompass: test of the antioxidant activity, homogeneity test, organoleptic, viscosity and flow rate, dispersion ability, drying time, tensile strength, and pH. The results were analyzed by ANOVA one way to see the effect of variation of PVA concentration, temperature, and life time of the response. The result of the evaluation and stability test was found IC50 for extract about 15,10 bpj and IC50 for gel mask about 55,25 bpm, the fixed homogeneous preparation and the changing in color and odor is not showed, the viscosity at 2 rpm between 61.25-181,25 dpa.s; pseudoplastis flow rate; dispersion ability 48,1-66,7 mm; drying time 21-34 minutes; pH 5,46-6,09 and tensile strength 42,81-120,53 kg/cm2. Analyzed by ANOVA one way showed that each formula has a significant difference to the tested response, stable in temperature 250C-300C and 400C, and stable for 3 months except to the pH response.rn(F) Reference : 24 (1991 – 2011)rn(G) Dra.
