Profil Peresepan Penggunaan Obat Anti Diabetes Melitus Pada Resep Obat Pulang Pasien Rawat Inap Di Rumah Sakit Royal Taruma Jakarta Periode 1 Januari - 31 Mei 2023
Diabetes is a chronic disease in the form of a metabolic disorder characterized by blood sugar
levels that exceed normal limits. The cause of the increase in blood sugar levels is the basis
for grouping types of diabetes mellitus, which can be divided into type 1 DM and type 2 DM
and gestational type DM. This study aims to determine the profile of anti-diabetic drug
prescribing on discharge prescriptions for inpatients at Royal Taruma Hospital. The research
was conducted using a retrospective descriptive method. The data in this study included
gender, age, drug class, and combinations of anti-diabetic drugs obtained from prescriptions
for hospitalized diabetes patients at Royal Taruma Hospital for the period January 1 to May
31, 2023. Data are in the form of percentages and tables. The results showed that the
percentage of antidiabetic drug use based on gender was 54 prescriptions for women
(56.25%), for men with 42 prescriptions (43.75%). Age 65 years, namely 33
prescriptions (34.38%). The number of drug use that was widely prescribed was the DPP 4
inhibitor drug class of 13 prescriptions (33.33%), and the use of antidiabetic drugs in
combination with a combination of 2 drugs was 41 prescriptions (77.36%). Based on the
results of the study, it was concluded that the characteristics of returning patients who
received prescriptions for anti-diabetic drugs were dominated by females aged between 45
and 65 years. The prescribing profile for the use of antidiabetic drugs is based on the drug
class most recommended is the DPP 4 Inhibitor drug class and the combination antidiabetic
drug is a combination of two drugs.
